What is The Second Paradigm?

David and Miriam Hrostoski, founders of The Second Paradigm

The Second Paradigm is a spiritual education framework founded by David and Miriam Hrostoski. It teaches people how to build a direct, personal relationship with God through intuition—outside of religion, beyond mainstream spirituality, and eyes wide open.

The framework sits outside of every existing spiritual category. It’s not Christianity, not New Age, not self-help, and not conspiracy culture. It draws something real from each of those worlds—God, direct experience, uncomfortable truth, practical growth—and drops what held each of them back: the rulesets, the manufactured ways of being, the lack of discernment.

David and Miriam have been developing this body of work since 2017. It includes over 30 channeled documents, a growing library of teaching content on YouTube, free resources, and a paid community.

What Does The Second Paradigm Teach?

At its core, The Second Paradigm teaches that intuition is a direct, real-time personal connection to God—and that learning to trust and refine that connection is the most important thing a person can do.

The framework rests on a few foundational ideas:

God is real, external, and personally accessible. Not as a metaphor, not as “the universe,” and not as an abstract energy. God is an actual intelligence that delivers personalized guidance to every individual through their intuition. This guidance is practical, specific, and available right now—no church, no book, and no spiritual teacher required.

Your intuition is the access point. The core skill The Second Paradigm teaches is differentiation—learning to tell the difference between genuine intuitive guidance (from your soul and God) and the noise of biological programming, emotional reactivity, and cultural conditioning.

Peace is the foundation. Not happiness, not bliss, not “high vibration.” Peace—grounded, neutral stillness—is the emotional state where intuition is clearest and most accessible. Building the capacity to access Peace consistently, even in the middle of difficulty, is a cornerstone of The Second Paradigm’s framework.

The body and the soul are distinct. Your body is biological—an expression of your lineage, stretching back through generations. It’s what Earth has been. Your soul is who you truly are—a specific expression of God’s values, paired with this life and this body for a reason. The journey is moving from one toward the other, and your intuition is how God guides that process.

Most spiritual frameworks have real limitations. The Second Paradigm is openly critical of manifestation, belief work, plant medicine, spiritual bypassing, and the “positivity prison” of mainstream spiritual culture. It’s equally critical of religious dogma that replaces a direct relationship with God with behavioral rulesets.

Who Is It For?

The Second Paradigm tends to resonate with people who’ve already done significant inner work but have hit a ceiling with whatever framework they were using. Three common entry points:

People who’ve outgrown mainstream spirituality. They tried the crystals, the manifestation, the workshops—and it stopped working. Something felt incomplete or dishonest. They’re looking for something with more depth and more intellectual honesty.

People who’ve left religion but still feel God. The church didn’t work, but the thing the church was pointing at—that connection to something bigger—was real. They need a framework for accessing God without the institution.

People who see through mainstream narratives and want a constructive response. They’re aware of systemic manipulation and cultural engineering, but they’re tired of frameworks that stop at fear and anger. They want something that takes their concerns seriously and offers an inner foundation strong enough to navigate what’s coming.

Who Are David and Miriam Hrostoski?

David and Miriam Hrostoski are the co-founders of The Second Paradigm. Both experienced life-altering events in 2011—David’s mother passed away shortly after his high school graduation, and Miriam’s mother had a stroke—that set them on independent paths of questioning everything they’d been taught about how life is supposed to work.

David is a channel who works with a non-physical being called B. Through this connection, he has authored over 30 channeled documents that form the intellectual foundation of The Second Paradigm’s teachings. David’s background includes growing up as a Jehovah’s Witness, leaving the faith after his mother’s death, and going through a period of hard atheism before his channel opened in November 2016.

Miriam is the honest friend you didn’t know you needed. She questions everything—reality, the spiritual industry, mainstream narratives—with the kind of directness that makes you exhale, not flinch. But she’s also the person people tell everything to, the one who remembers details about your life you forgot you shared, and the warmth at the center of this community. She runs Welcome Home by Miriam—small batch tinctures, tallow skincare, and pottery—which is exactly what it sounds like: the feeling of finally being home.

Together, they offer mentorship, community, and teaching content for people building their own direct relationship with God.

How Is The Second Paradigm Different?

From Religion

The Second Paradigm takes God seriously—as seriously as any church does. But it rejects the idea that God’s guidance can be packaged into a fixed set of rules about what “good behavior” looks like. What David and Miriam call “the codified good”—moral rulesets that replace real-time, personal divine guidance—is one of the things T2P actively works to move people beyond. The goal is a living, breathing relationship with God, not adherence to a doctrine.

From New Age Spirituality

Most New Age frameworks collapse God into the individual—”you are God,” “you create your reality.” The Second Paradigm holds that God is external, hierarchical, and far more intelligent than any individual. Practices like manifestation, plant medicine, astral travel, and belief work are seen as irrelevant at best and actively harmful at worst. The Second Paradigm is also openly critical of what it calls the “positivity prison”—the cultural norm within spiritual communities that frames critical thinking, honest judgment, and negative emotions as “manifesting negativity.”

From Self-Help

Self-help tends to operate from the premise that something is wrong with you and needs fixing. The Second Paradigm operates from a philosophy of embracing what’s already happening—that your present circumstances are divinely orchestrated for your growth. The work is to receive that guidance, not to scramble toward a better future.

Many people arrive at self-help through that same feeling we talk about at The Second Paradigm: “There has to be more to life than this.” But the self-help path channels that impulse toward optimization: SMART goals, financial success, entrepreneurial ventures, building the best possible life on paper. And it works—to a point. You can build the career, the income, the lifestyle. But the feeling doesn’t go away. So people who’ve exhausted what they wanted to build for themselves often turn to helping others, taking up the arts, or finding a cause—still trying to resolve that original crisis through action. The Second Paradigm’s position is that the crisis was never about a lack of self-help principles. It was about denying inner wisdom and working against your soul’s essence and purpose. No amount of external achievement closes the gap between your biology and your soul.

From Conspiracy Culture

The Second Paradigm acknowledges systemic manipulation and takes it seriously. Miriam and David would agree on a wide variety of conspiracies and corruption—the pattern recognition in these communities is often accurate. The problem isn’t what conspiracy culture sees. It’s that it has nowhere to go with it.

The conspiracy world is built around disclosure and exposure—everyone needs to know. It feels brave to talk about these things, and it is. But to what end? More people become aware, and then those people build more awareness, and then everyone knows—and still nothing changes. No one in these spaces is directly acknowledging how helpless it can feel to learn about the world—how impossible it feels to actually do anything about what they’ve uncovered. When some do start reaching for a next step, they often drift into mainstream spirituality—”We’re powerful creators”—which The Second Paradigm sees as just another trap.

T2P’s godless utopia thesis reframes the whole picture. Darkness isn’t trying to destroy the world—it’s building a world so convenient, so logically compelling, that it won’t need God at all. That reframe shifts the response from “fight the system” or “expose the system” to something personal and constructive: build a direct, unshakable connection to God that no external system can disrupt or take away from you. Then, when (not if) this dark utopia is built around us, we’ll have preserved the only thing that matters—that real-time connection to God that operates in any circumstance. If that connection is solid, there’s nowhere we can go collectively that God can’t guide us through.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is The Second Paradigm?

The Second Paradigm is a spiritual education framework founded by David and Miriam Hrostoski. It teaches people how to develop a direct, personal relationship with God through intuition—outside of religion, beyond mainstream spirituality, and with eyes wide open.

Is The Second Paradigm a religion?

No. The Second Paradigm is not a religion, a church, or a denomination. It doesn’t have a creed, a doctrine, or a set of rules about what God requires. It teaches people how to build their own direct connection to God—and that connection belongs entirely to the individual, not to T2P.

Is The Second Paradigm Christian?

No, though it takes God seriously in a way that often resonates with people stepping away from Christian backgrounds. David grew up as a Jehovah’s Witness and left the faith after his mother’s passing in 2011. The Second Paradigm’s framework acknowledges the validity of the experience of God that many Christians have while rejecting the institutional structures and doctrinal rules that mediate that experience. The goal is a real-time, personal relationship with God—not adherence to a religious tradition.

Is The Second Paradigm New Age?

No. The Second Paradigm is openly critical of mainstream New Age spirituality, including manifestation, plant medicine, thought and belief work, and the cultural emphasis on “positive vibes.” It sees these practices as distractions from genuine spiritual development and in some cases as actively harmful. The framework teaches that God is external and hierarchical—not that “you are God” or “you create your reality.”

Who is B?

B is the being David has been channeling since November 2016. B says he works for God—directly and explicitly. His stated goal is to help people reclaim their free will, a project he describes not as his own initiative but as something he works on at the direction of God. B is not an extraterrestrial, not a deceased human, and not an angel in the traditional sense. Instead, B is part of what The Second Paradigm calls an interconnected Soul Architecture—the structure of God itself, where the soul is the smallest unit and higher collective units with individual functions extend above it. Through David, B delivers structured, precise intelligence about the nature of God, soul, darkness, and human consciousness—and directly challenges ideological frameworks that leave God out of the picture entirely. The channeled documents authored through this connection form the primary body of written work behind The Second Paradigm’s teachings.

What is the “godless utopia”?

The godless utopia is The Second Paradigm’s framework for understanding what darkness is actually trying to build. Rather than pursuing destruction or chaos, darkness is working toward a world so technologically convenient, so logically compelling, and so well-designed that it will prove to every soul on Earth that they don’t need God—or the guidance that God delivers us. This thesis reframes the anxiety many people feel about the direction of the world—not as paranoia, but as an accurate reading of a real trajectory. The Second Paradigm’s response is not to fight this inevitable trajectory but to help individuals build an inner foundation strong enough to stay anchored within that new world.

What is intuition according to The Second Paradigm?

The Second Paradigm defines intuition as a direct, real-time personal connection to God—specifically, communication through what it calls the Oversoul, an aspect of God that identifies and sequences the ideal given your exact circumstances. Intuition in this framework is not a vague feeling or a lucky hunch. It’s a reliable channel of guidance that becomes more precise as you learn to distinguish it from biological noise, emotional reactivity, and collective cultural programming. Intuition is the mechanism by which God guides the evolutionary journey from your body’s initial expression—shaped by lineage, culture, and biological programming—toward the full expression of your soul. It’s not just a decision-making tool. It’s how you discover and live into your purpose for being here in this human experience.

Is The Second Paradigm a cult?

No. David and Miriam’s position is that almost every system—religious, spiritual, political, cultural—operates with cult-like dynamics: demanding allegiance, discouraging independent thought, and creating dependency. Though they’ll sometimes joke about being a cult— “We’re the cult to end all cults!”—The Second Paradigm’s explicit goal is the opposite: to help people build a direct, personal connection to God that belongs entirely to them and has nothing to do with David, Miriam, or T2P. The framework is designed to make itself unnecessary. If T2P disappeared tomorrow, the connection you’ve built to God would remain—because it was never T2P’s to begin with.

What is intuitionOS?

intuitionOS is The Second Paradigm’s term for an intuition-led operating system for life. Most people run on what T2P calls LogicOS—making every decision based on past experience, cultural programming, and what makes rational sense. intuitionOS is the shift to making decisions through a direct connection to something that has access to far more information than your lived experience alone—to God. It’s not about abandoning logic. It’s about letting intuition lead and logic support. The Second Paradigm’s Free Resource Library includes a video series introducing this concept.

What does body vs. soul mean in The Second Paradigm?

The body and the soul are two distinct things. Your soul is who you truly are—a specific expression of God’s values, connected to divinity, and paired with a purpose for being here. Your body is biological—an expression of your lineage stretching back through generations. It’s what Earth has been, not who you are. You enter life as more of an expression of that lineage, and the intended journey is to move toward a fuller expression of your soul over time. God orchestrates that process through intuition—those inner nudges are the mechanism by which your soul’s essence gradually comes through into your embodiment and expression. The tension between body and soul—the feeling that something about your life doesn’t quite fit—isn’t a problem to solve. It’s the starting signal for that journey.

What is The Cutting Edge?

The Cutting Edge is The Second Paradigm’s term for a small portion of the population whose values and inner sense of truth don’t match the world as it currently exists. These are people who’ve felt ahead of their time for as long as they can remember—not because they’re smarter or more evolved, but because the era their soul was built for hasn’t arrived yet. T2P teaches that this difference isn’t a flaw to fix or a phase to outgrow. It’s a calling—and the discomfort that comes with it is evidence of that calling, not evidence that something is wrong.

What does The Second Paradigm teach about darkness?

The Second Paradigm teaches that darkness is real, organized, and philosophical—not the cartoonish evil most spiritual traditions describe. Darkness isn’t trying to destroy the world. It’s trying to build a world so technologically advanced, so logically compelling, and so well-designed that humanity won’t need God at all. T2P calls this trajectory the “godless utopia.” The framework doesn’t teach people to fight darkness or fear it. It teaches them to build an inner foundation—a direct, personal connection to God through intuition—that remains intact regardless of what the external world becomes.

What is Peace according to The Second Paradigm?

Peace in The Second Paradigm is not the feel-good calm most people associate with the word. It’s a specific, grounded, emotionally neutral state—an inner technology for accessing the clearest possible signal to your soul and your real-time personal connection to God. Intuition is ideally accessible across a wide variety of emotional states—and given enough practice, it is—but both excitement and depression come with strong impulses and built-in to-do lists that cloud the connection to truth and the reality of what’s happening. Peace is the place where those interfering signals are at their lowest volume—where you can see through the misconceptions of emotion and find your clearest connection to God. Unlike happiness or excitement, Peace doesn’t depend on circumstances going well. This emotionally neutral place can be found in the middle of fear, uncertainty, and intensity. Building the capacity to return to Peace consistently is one of the most important skills in The Second Paradigm’s framework—it’s the foundation everything else rests on.
